3D-Printable Sound Bingo Board

A reusable 3 × 3 tactile board designed for 60 × 60 mm Sound Bingo tiles.

Orientation dot: A raised tactile dot belongs in the top-left corner. Teach students to locate the dot before play so they can independently orient the board.

Magnets: The board can use small recessed magnets so tiles stay securely in place. Secure magnets fully and supervise use, as loose magnets are an ingestion hazard.

Printable Sound Tiles

Each set includes 60 × 60 mm tiles with a clear image, large-print name, and a printed Braille spelling provided as a reference.

Important: The printed Braille is not tactile. Add the student's own embossed or adhesive Braille label over the reference area.

Preparing the tiles

1. Print & cutPrint at 100% / Actual Size and cut along the outside 60 mm borders.
2. Laminate & labelLaminate for durability, trim, then add the student's tactile Braille label.
3. Add washersAttach a small metal washer securely to the back of each tile so it connects to the magnetic board.

How to play Sound Bingo

Set UpGive each student or group a 3 × 3 board. Choose nine tiles and give students time to explore the images, print, Braille, or tactile labels.
PlayPlay a random sound. Students listen, identify what they hear, find the matching tile, and place it on the board. Replay whenever another listen is helpful.
Make It Work for EveryoneStudents can say, point, sign, use AAC, select a picture, or locate a tactile/Braille tile. The goal is shared participation, not identical responses.
